Plumhead

These beautiful birds are about 14" long. Are very good talkers & have sweet voices. a musical call is their natural sound. These are Parakeets that originated in Asia. They are not as destructive as some parrots. Their lifespan averages 25 years. These are pictures of a female and a male plum. The male has a red hed and the female has a grayish blue head. All of the Plumheads start out with the gray head and then the males will color when they are around the age of 2 1/2.
